Any profits of a mutual company are either applied in future rate
reductions or rebated to policyholders. This is the mutual advantage!

In the 1930s, property insurance was next to impossible to get in rural New Brunswick. In order to protect their farms, four farmers decided to pool their resources and form their own insurance company in 1937. This was the beginning of Stanley Mutual.
At first we wrote only farm policies for fire coverage. Over the years we’ve expanded our offering and now deliver, top-notch, industry-leading homeowner policies as well as auto and commercial insurance. Our newly revamped Home Packages are second-to-none. We also continue to protect many of the farms in the province.
Our first policyholder, who has been with us since day one! Their trust and loyalty inspire us to keep providing exceptional service and support. Here’s to many more years together!
